Planning in the Green Belt
LDP welcomes the challenge of green belt developments and has success in gaining planning permission on otherwise
very difficult sites. It is both our expertise in sensitive design solutions coupled with the effectiveness of our communication
with relevant planning authorities and related parties which makes us so successful in this area of architectural design.
This is best demonstrated in a number of our recent projects most notably Epsom and Sandown Racecourse hotels.
Both projects have gained full permission.
Sustainable Design
In line with LDPs aspirations to minimise their impact on the planet's resources and natural environments LDP operates a strict
code of practice in both general office procedure and at each and every stage of the design process and where possible construction.
LDP considers BREEAM a valuable part at all stages of the building process and usually achieves a rating of 'Very Good' with
aspirations for 'Excellent' in all projects. We fully endorse the current 'Code for Sustainable Housing' introduced by the
government in February 2009.
